the valley

we were driving through the valley and stopped for a moment to take some pictures of our beautiful surroundings. even though we are just a short 50 miles away from the big city of san francisco, life seems to move at a completely different pace out here. i'm falling more and more in love every day with the simple beauties that surround us.

at this time of the year, the almond tree orchards are in full bloom and absolutely gorgeous.

miles and miles of open fields with a gorgeous view of the horizon all around.

in our own front yard, the cherry blossom tree is in full bloom.
spring is definitely in the air! flip flops, dresses and long walks around the 'hood. i can't wait!

sleeping baby

i love me some sleeping baby.
that sweet, little face and those pouty lips. i can't get enough.
i could just kiss, kiss, kiss on this sweet boy all day long.

the gift of an ordinary day

p.s. you'll have to scroll down to the very bottom of this page and pause the music so that you can hear the video.

i think i posted this video and looooong while back but i think it is definitely worth reposting. i've grown and changed A LOT as a mother even in just one short year. i watch this now and see it in a completely different way than i saw it then. and i'm sure when i watch it again a year from now, it will stir up even more different emotions.

so grab a box of kleenex and enjoy! :)

embrace the camera - march 3

who let the crazies out?
oh wait, that's just us.

we found a tripod in our garage and weren't quite sure what to do with it. ok, well, we knew how to use it. but it was a little weird because we're not used to taking pictures on timer, which is why we don't have a lot of pictures with both me and the mister in them. that's gotta change. and that's also why these pictures a little awkward...but still pretty awesome.

the only way we could get liam to not be kicking and screaming for this little photo session was by tickling his feet. but i guess it tickled so much, as one would expect when there are four people tickling your feet at the same time, that he ended up laughing so hard he couldn't hold his head up straight. haha. fun times.

wyatt was napping through the action, as usual.

da boyz

definitely outnumbered

now go link up with the anderson family crew and embrace your camera! i'm sure you won't look as awkward in front of a tripod as we did. :)
